Welcome to Psychonautical NYC. This used to be a Timothy Leary discussion group, but that seemed a bit too narrow a topic upon which to base a meetup group, hence the focus has been expanded to encompass the far broader subject of consciousness, with a particular emphasis on exploring the true potential for comprehension. The work of Mr. Leary is invaluable to such a pursuit, however his is but a compliment to the far greater effort. Techniques such as meditation and sensory deprivation can be enhanced by more advanced methods. Did you hear Joe Rogan ranting on the Opie & Anthony show, and want to find out more about it? Well, he's just the latest (and perhaps last) public figure to advocate clarity of vision to the nth degree. The view is much better up here. Come on up and take a look for yourself. Also on myspace:

Zazen - for Beginners
Every Sunday morning, the Zen Center of NYC hosts a beginners training session for those interested in learning Zazen. I've been interested in attending for a while, and since this falls under the umbrella of Conciousness Expansion, I'm going to throw it up there for all.
I'm going to limit the attendence to 5. Should interest exceed this number, I'll find out how many the Temple can accomidate. Read more
